Exclamation ground wire???

Hey guys I just converted my truck to internally regulated alt. and all of the info I can find through search only mentions 3 wires, red/white/blue. But my truck also had a black ground wire that went to the back of the alt. should I re-ground the new alt. with this wire? or does the new alt ground itself with the brackets?

The alternator should be grounded through the brackets but it will not hurt to put the ground wire on.
