tire size
I first thought it had 4:11's but after looking a little closer they are 3:73's. I am going to run 35's because it's got the nv4500 5 spd trans . I still have to change out the tailshaft hsg & mainshaft to the gm unit then get the advance adapter plate to the np205 as time & money permits .

I don't see an adapter plate of any kind between the trans and engine. What kind if bellhousing did you use? Did it bolt right up?
I know absolutely nothing about diesels myself but it looks like it will fit good. What's the hp and torque ratings on it?

In the last pic u can see the adapter plate . It has the smaller black plate bolted to it. I just used a dodge adapter & bellhousing from a 98 diesel pickup then bolted the nv4500 trans up to the adapter . Everything bolts up great. The HP is rated at 105 & the torque is 265 stock but I'm hoping to get maybe 150-175 hp & 350 lbft of torque. I"m also hoping for 28-32 mpg out on the road .

This is definately a project I want to keep watching. I worry about the weight of that in the stock front end, are you going to do something with that?

weight
The weight is not an issue . The 4bt weighs really close to the same as an inline 6 cyl gas (approx 700 lbs). I have so much room either to move the motor forward or back which is good but now I have to purchase the turbo & the turbo exh housing (down pipe) so I can see how far back I can place the motor to the body . The exh sys is I think 4" so I need to leave enough room for the pipe. One step at a time as $$ permits .

That's a cool swap! I thought about doing the same on my 68 K10. I was looking for a diesel frito-lay van with a 4spd. Pretty close as you can get for bolt in. They use the sm465 but the engine is tilted about 45 degrees. Not much luck finding any used ones around where I live. Good luck, looks really good.

That is neat..............I am getting ready to put a 6AT3.4 Cummins in mine. I wanted to go with a 5.9 but I didn't want to hack my firewall up to make it fit. I am hoping for good fuel mileage too

4bt
Moneys tight (again) and the backyard is really muddy so I havn't done too much . I did buy the exh manifold and now need to get the turbo so I can see how close I can put the motor to the firewall. I will need to get a different oil filter head too the one I have mounts the filter vertically , I need one thats horizontally you can see it in the first pic. Oh yea I did buy a 1975 blazer gas tank w/ the brush guard , straps, filler neck for $50.00 . Slowly but surly maybe it'll be running this summer !
