just showin my project
here's my 72. it was a long bed two months ago. i shortened the frame (that was the easy part) then i shorted the bed. i split the sides right down the length of them above the wheel wells took 20" off the front of the top piece, a foot off in front of the wheel well and 8" off behind the wheel well, then welded them up. they'll never be nice enough to paint but they atleast have the shape untill i can afford new bed sides

Wow! Someone finally made a short bed 3/4 ton truck. I like it, and it gave me a crazy idea... maybe I should lengthen my 9 foot step side bed to 10 foot.... naw, I need to stop drinking during the day

Nice job! What are your plans for the rest of the truck? Going with a stock look or modified? Hell, I'd rock that bed for now... A little mud and away she goes

i live in idaho falls, id. i'm sure i'll have this bed for a while. at some point i may try to straighten it more and use some filler to smooth it out. i plan to go with a modified look. i definitely want to lower it, either get a nice set of 8 lug wheels or change the truck to 5 lug.

I do a lot of metalwork on antique cars and street rods and that looks great for that long cut down the side. My hat's off to you.

I'm not a huge fan of short beds, but 3/4 ton short bed is kick-___! Keep up the strong work!
