Well those things are notorious for blown head gaskets. Timing belts, fuel injectors, clogged cause shaking but still won't miss. The spray pattern is affected so that it is not uniform. Fuel pressure low(clogged filter, bad pump). Are there any codes. Dirty Mass Air flow sensors. These are some things that come to mind.

Fuel filter. I had a '91 when I wa sin high school. Had the same response when stomping on the gas. @ 120k miles, fuel filter had never been replaced and caused the entire problem.
One shop in town tried to tell me the injectors were bad, another tried to tell me the ECU was going out. Both asked for $1200-$2500 to fix the problem. Only cost $8 for the new fuel filter. Goes to shoe you that you can't trust anyone these days. |
