what size is a stock gas tank?
The last 2 times I've filled up my tank I've only been able to put 10 and 11 gallons in it. The gauge read about 1/4 each time. Does this sound about right, or is my gauge off? I was assuming it was a 20 gallon tank. Mine is a six cylinder if there were different size tanks.

Is this the tank I gave you? It should hold at least 16-18 gallons I think. I acquired three more if you need another.

The behind-the-seat tanks hold about 20 or 21 gallons. The gauge on my truck was reading almost empty and when I filled it up it took about 17 gallons so I was cutting it close with my gas guzzler.

Yeah Randy, it's the one you gave me. I thinking my gauge is reading wrong. I put a new sending unit in it when I put it in. I've got another gauge from another cluster, so I may try that.

Here's what I did... Filled up a 3 gal tank of gas. Put it in the bed, left it there till I ran out of gas, put in the 3 gal and got to the nearest station and saw it take anothe 18 gal or so... Then what does your gas gauge look like?...

My tank shows empty after burning 17 gal. But it holds over 20.
