700r4 connections
I installed the dipstick tube into my new 700r4 yesterday, and notice another hole about 3" behind the dipstick hole in the tranny. It has a similar rubber gromet on it. What's it for?

and one more thought....
Do NOT fire up the engine until you get the TV cable installed/adjusted. Rumor has it you can burn up the trans in a matter of minutes without it!

Oh, of course. For some reason I was picturing the tv cable hookup on the drivers side. I have the TV made EZ kit on its way from BTO, and won't be connecting the flexplate until that kit is installed. Thanks for the info - got it now. We're not quite mobile yet, so I've got plenty of time to screw things up in the next couple of weeks :-)
