for the 100th time
I know this has been asked a 100 times. how do you set the tv cable on a 350? I went here (http://www.73-87.com/7387garage/drivetrain/detent.htm ) but didn't know where the "screw" was? to my memory I've never heard the trans go down to 2nd when passing someone. but then again I don't think I've ever gone wot so thats probably my problem. is it supposed to go down to 2nd when going up a steep hill? I believe I have (according to the sticker in the glove box) 3.73 rear with stock wheels *or the equivalent for today*. and I am hopeing to atleast top off the diff sometime soon and want to know what kind of oil and how much? thank you for your help. matt

mat you need to adjust the cable which is only a kick down cable on a 350. with the cable hooked up engine off go to max throttle your tranny cable should max out the same time as your max throttle. adjust accordingly. Your rear end should have 80-90 gear oil in it. If you also have a posi unit you may also need to add limited slip oil to the rear end gear oil.

If you have never felt your tranny kick down you definatly have problems. Either that or you drive like a granny
