Of all my favorite things to do, The utmost is to have a brew.
My love grows for my foamy friend, with each thirst-quenching elbow bend.
Beer so frosty, smooth, and cold it's paradise pure liquid gold.
Yes beer means many things to me that's all for now cus I gotta pee.

Thats what I thought but I have never owed a 400 trans before. The plug on the side of the trans has A two prog plug on it but only one wire goes down from the switch. Is there some missing? The other wire goes to the fuse box I think.

Thumbs up

The two prongs on the plug in the trans. was used in the early 70s th400s that had a spark controller in the trans.valve body that would retard the timming when you kicked it into second gear to prevent knock - think it was part of early smog equipment in cars. If your valve body does not have the spark controller then just one of the prongs is used and connects to the kick down solenoid - have had rebuilt 400s that had the two prong plugs but only used one of them. On the switch on the pedal your right - a hot feed on one side and then the controlling wire to the trans. The peddle switch is still availble from GM as I got a new one not to long ago for my trk when I changed it over to a automatic. This switch was done two different ways depending on the model - one like you have described and the other was on the carb. Had a 68 396 Camaro with the switch on the carb. HTH:::CB
