Hate to do it...

But it looks like I am being transferred to Italy so I am going to have to sell my Blazer project. So far, the chassis has been pressure washed, POR-15'd and all seams on the cab were split, sand blasted and reassembled. The windshield frame still needs some cosmetic metal working, but the rest of the sheetmetal on the cab has been replaced where needed(floors, kick panels). I have all new rockers, door skins and window regulators. The driver side door skin is removed and the new one is ready to be applied, but I haven't gotten the new rubber for the inside yet, so it is not done. Passenger door is original and still needs to be re-skinned. Driver side quarter panel has surface rust that was sandblasted, and inside coated with POR-15. It has already been reinstalled on body. Passenger side needs metal work on outside skin, it is currently split and ready for work. Body has all new bushings from Kennys Trucks(original style). Engine is a freshly built '77 block, no bore, just hone, so it is bone stock, 4 bolt main. I have a four speed tranny and Rockwell xfer case(from LeRoy) installed behind it. It still needs the torsion mount installed on it and needs new mounting bushings. It has a 4 inch lift installed(blocks) that was on it when I got it. Seems to be in good shape. Shocks also seem to be newer. Engine has never been run, just needs the carb installed(Edelbrock 1406 from Jose), unsure of carb's status. Looks very nice, a little dirty.

I am currently deployed to the Persian Gulf, so I can't show you the truck right now. If you are in the area, I am sure I can set up a showing via my wife in Bremerton. If you are interested, please email me at jswanson@vinson.navy.mil It is hard to get on the message board from out here, so no private messages please. I would like to get $5000 out of the old girl, but as always price is negotiable. I have more new parts and odds and ends that will be included with the sale. It has a double wall top, and the hatch is in poor shape. Also the windows have been removed from the top as the rubber was rotten. Will need a new window in the rear hatch.

On a side note, my house is also for sale in Bremerton, WA. If intersted please ask for details.

Sorry for the length of the post and if you have questions, email me. Thanks, Jeff.

Sorry to see you have to sell, but Italy sounds like fun. The kids should enjoy it! How long to you expect to be over there?

Thanks, GQ, I hate it too. Bouncy, its a 3 year billet, but I'll probably stay 4 to finish my 20 and go home. I'll just have to get a new project when I get home and start my second life. Looks like maybe only 1 or 2 of the kids will be going. My daughter is in the Army now, and the oldest boy wants to stay in WA. Jeff.
