Don't mean to rob your post Rod.... but what exactly do the brackets look like for the 8 track player... at swap meets I tend to see a lot of those old 8 track players but the ones from cars .. (bowtie face) ... didn't know if I could help you out .. if I knew what to look for Trevor

here's what I figure is correct

couple styles depending on year.

Only took me years to figure it all out...and what do i do with all this info....well I give it away for free ..... and watch prices sky rocket ...oh well.

They don't look that difficult to even make, but I'm a stickler for exact detail on the rare stuff.

The knobs I'm looking for are pretty common on car players also. I may just have to bid on a car 8 track on ebay just for the knobs and brackets.

Looks like the same knobs, maybe you can get one of the guys near Seattle to pick it up for you. It's about 35 miles from me.

Yeah those are the right knob...I wouldnt think the knobs alone wouldn't be worth that cost though. Thanks for looking out and about.

So the bracket will not work either? Keep an eye on the listing and if it don't sell it gets deleted in 30 days, then offer him 15 for it.

I suppose it would..hard to see how it mounts as the Buick 8 track has a plastic outer housing, I figure it will though. Let me know if you grab it. Regards.
