engine stumbling & tach going crazy
When accelerating from a stop my trucks engine stutters. What could cause this
I also noticed that when this happens, my tach spikes up a few hundred rpm, (without the engine's rpm increasing) thanks

Check for vacume leaks around the carb and intake. Also, check your plugs and wires and depending on what kind of distributer you have I'd also check your points and timing.
