Carpet done - seats ready to be bolted down
I got the carpet finished last night and am very pleased with it. Bolting down the shifter retainers helped get rid of a couple wrinkles. I still need to cut the kick panel vent holes and secure the panel that I made for the rear of the cab where the gas tank was.
It was late when I got done but I had to set the seats in before I called it quits. They can be bolted down next time I am out. You can hardly tell I have brackets under the carpet and insulation to assist with mounting these seats. Truck is getting awfully dusty - need to get it done!

Carpet is from Tim Christian - I haven't seen the bill yet but I believe it is around $120 but don't quote me on that.
I will have to pull the 4 speed shifter and put a slight bend in it. When in reverse it hits the middle seat. Can get in reverse but if there was a passenger you would have problems.

I think you will like the seats TP from Cntl PA but they do make the interior a bit more cramped.
Thanks for all the compliments - getting so close to being driveable and getting the interior about finished is a nice step forward. Never thought I would bother with carpet but it sure gives the cab a finished look. Now if I can just keep my muddy boots out of it.

Definitely a tighter fit. Here are a couple pics I took a while ago with me in the seat. I'm right at 6' - some one taller than that or with long legs will want to really give some thought to whether to change to this style of seat.

I hear voices in my head all the time asking "Why aren't you done yet?"
I laughed at myself when I was in the cab the night I got the seats in cause I was making vroom vroom noises when I was going through the gears.

Lookin' sharp. I caught my boy doin' the vroom, vroom thing last Saturday, but before the day was out, he was doing it for real, toolin' around the pasture! Open manifolds, no fenders or doors, but finally mobile!
That color scheme looks better to me with each new pic, and the carpet and seat really work well. SSOW
