dtlilly,
Suffice to say I'm a sick individual. Many years ago I hauled this truck from behind another equally sick persons house. At the time it had dual wheels and flared stepside fenders. The guy was a welder and had used the truck for years. I put 16.5 alloys on it, a Vette 350, and welded a dump set up I pulled out of a 58 International 1 ton. Then I mounted the step side over that. This leaves it with about a 10" deep bed. I have never used the dump because before I finished it, I bought a 75 1 ton Chevy dump and used that. I'll post some pictures at a later time. I think maybe you are a little sick too seeing how you transplanted your butt into the cold white north...........

Chief, that story of your 9 foot sound worse than mine. I salvaged it from going to the scrap yard, have spent more money than most spend on their SWB 4X4 trucks. I now have all the parts to make her a rust free, all original, rust free and dent free, example of 1 of 1542 ever produced in 1972. No telling how many exist today, nor how many were even colored and optioned like mine.

Question "Is there any such a thing as a spare Indian?" Ihave 5 right now and they still look forlorn and in need of company. If you want to talk Indians PM me as this forum probably don't need to waste their time on it.

Yea, Indian motorcycles as in 1901-1953 Made in USA, Springfield Mass. I know off-topic..... btw, I'm a grandson of a full-blood Cherokee on my mothers side. My great-great grandfather walked the Trail of Tears.... ' nuff said
So, how about a pic of your 9-foot? Are you keeping the dump unit on it? I've had lotsa members inquire about how mine was done and if you want to sell it I'm sure there would be a buyer. |
