rear u-joint??

I am so close to driving my 78 again, this is the only thing stoping me. I can't find a u-joint to fit the rear of the driveshaft/axle. The length of the arms that go into the driveshaft is shorter then the length of the arms that get clamped into the axle. Standerd u-joint part numbers are 210-0153 and 210-1078, theres also a listing for the middle of a 2pc shaft at 210-3105. None of these are correct. Does anyone have an idea of where to look or what part number to get?

I just went through the same thing on my Blazer. The driveshaft used clips on the outside and the pinion yoke used clips on the inside. After taking it to a shop that balanced driveshafts, I finally found out that it is an adapter joint sort of thing.

The number was Spicer 5-3022x or Spicer 5-354x. Both numbers will work for mine, only difference is that one has slots for an inside clip on both sides.

I'm can't say that this will be the right part that you need but maybe you can have someone get one off the shelf to compare it. If they don't carry spicer joints they should be able to cross reference it. I had the other #s but lost my scrap of paper I had them written on.

Thanks guys. I went to autozone, checker, and GM before finally finding it at NAPA. The part number was 210-0134. Time to drive the truck!!
