factory paint?

Ok ya'll,

I was doing some work on the truck tonight (1980 big 10 silverado) and started looking at the factory options. I don't think the current paint is the factory. I have the following codes:

12D LMM1 Mystic Custom C
18L 18 Charcoal Solid

Anyone have any clue on what the factory color was?

This pic is the current color.

I was searching for information on my paint code about a year ago (Catalina Blue 25 and Sky Blue 20, I think). I typed those names and numbers on Yahoo or Google and I found a paint manufacture or re-seller that listed the paint codes with small square samples of each color. Sorry, that's all I remember about the site.

The 18L is your paint code, it means Charcoal Metallic in 1980 (According to my 1980 GMC color and trim book). It is a dark silver metallic.

The 12D is your interior color code. Mystic Custom Cloth. It's a light grey. My 1980 Indy Hauler has this interior color and the dash and seat and carpet are grey, the seatbelts and door panels are white or very close to it.

Look on your option sheet for the two tone paint code. On my 78, it is 1ZY4 Deluxe two-tone paint.

They didn't print the entire color option on my build sheet, it reads like this:

153L 53 Colonial Yellow 6

My truck is Colonial Yellow (53) with a Neutral (60) insert & roof.

Hope this helps.

My options list say's nothing about two-tone. I guess a PO decided they wanted the two-tone look and I have never seen this combo on anyother truck.
