Qjet and Big blocks....
Anyone have some recommendations for metereing rods and jets for a qjet carb on a 454 motor? I'm trying to make my qjet a little more high performance. I have it apart and cleaned and have started the rebuild. All articles I have found deal with qjets and small blocks though. I have headers, exhaust and a cam but am looking for some fuel economy (with power when needed to beat any posers or rice rockets). Any help or links would be appreciated. Thanks

John Lingenfelter and David Vizard addressed the Q-jet in performanc applications in their books on high performance small blocks. I would look there first since most of the basics will apply. The Q-jet will flow about 750+ cfm so it will depend upon how high you expect to rev your big block.
