Wink A Super Sweet Truck On Ebay

I seen this beauty on Ebay and thought that everyone should see how beautiful a classic pickup can be.

I was kind of turned off by the old bedliner and other misc. parts that hadn't really even been cleaned up (ie. the pedals). Granted, no biggy, but if I was paying 10 G's I would want that stuff NEW. If they will throw that girl in then they are gettin close...

5500 really isn't overboard, especially if bodywork is involved. One of my local painters lands around 12-13,000 for show quality body/paint combinations.

I do believe that with a little more TLC it could win a few trophies. Bedliner just looks faded because I doubt that pretty gal would lay in a dirty "bed". I'm with you it should be brand new for that price. Maybe if it also came with a paid nite on the town with the pretty gal (with dessert of corse) the bids just might hit the reserve.

IT's not a bad truck.....hard to believe there is a crate motor in it with only 44k original miles, mine has 67k orig miles and it still has the orig motor. Motors don't normally go bad with 43.5k miles on them, someone had to of done something stupid , I'd like to know what happened. And I sure do love that paint job color wise, I've always been a sucker for two tone paint jobs.

Nice truck! Too bad the girl (exotic model) is not included. Maybe she can be the one to deliver?

Is that how they came with the single tank only on the passenger side?

I think dual tanks was a option.

What I mean is if you only have a single tank, would it be on the passenger side or drivers side.

Yes if it only has one tank it will be on the passenger side.

What I want to know is if it only has 44k original miles why did it need a new motor "and" a new paint job. It is a nice truck, but I don't buy the low mileage crap...

I agree

I agree that at the listed mileage it should not have needed an engone , paint , etc . The paint I can understand but it has a 79-80 hood on it . That doesnt seem like it would have been bad being that original with zero rust . I think the truck is worth close to $10,500 if not the entire amount . I am not a fan of the aftermarket Air Cond .though . It makes the truck look out of place . Also , the grille . Is that a normal 78 grille ? Wheres the Bowtie or evidence that it existed ? Change the wheels, exhaust , and clean the engine compartment up a little and that would be very nice .Frank

I think the grille is an aftermarket piece. FWIW, I hope he gets what he is wanting. Maybe that means all of our trucks may start to be worth something.

We all know were the truck will rust . I think we need a few more pictures of the under side ,bed ,truck cab, iner fender wells, rear axel, gas tanks, places besides the paint . We all know paint can be chipped in the right place to give the effect that the owner didnt take care of a truck. My 2 cents.

It does look nice.

Yeah, more pictures of underneath. And for 10,500, I think that firewall could be a little cleaner too. And that rattle-can job on the master cylinder where the black got sprayed on the brake lines but ends a little ways down. If I wanted 10.5 I would at least take the parts of the truck to paint them.

Cool

That is a nice ride but i think every one with a 70's something anything thinks they can automaticly put a 10k price tag on it cuz most 70's muscle cars are gittin' that even the fixer uper's.

And i think he's trying to get the $5500 from the paint job back! Take that off and your asking price would be more realistic.

Did anybody else notice that it has aftermarket A/c controls? Look above the stock control location, there are a few knobs there molded in... something I've never seen before.

Yeah, he mentioned something about vintage a/c. The lines at the compressor look to be some kind of flexible universal ones.

$12,000-$13,000 for a show paint job? Well, there goes my thought of getting mine to be a show truck.
