Longhorn Emblems
This is open for all but I expect Longhornmail to straighten it out. Was at a flea market and saw three NOS emblems, one with white paint in the recess of the letters, one with black paint, and one with none. Any ideas about what belongs on what with respect to years colors etc?? They had GM part numbers on the back, one had pins to bolt on, the other two, one with an adhesive tape, the other clean with no pins or tape. Any one have ideas or facts from sales brochures? Thanks

Interesting, I have never heard of any color but black in the lettering. (except for custome painting) However, after 30 years, some of them retain there awsome chrome finish, yet still loose there paint.
As for the posts, I have not seen any like that, but I have only seen 5 emblims in person. (all were glue on) However, I have heard of people "drilling the 1/4 panel fopr the longhorn badges" so it may well be true. How much was this little collection? |

Longhorns
I may have missed part of the boat. I bought two, not three. The plain and white one are mine. I left the black one there. In hindsight, I shoulda picked it up. The price was worth the cost of admission. Andy, I picked up Gary's CA 3/4 Longhorn rolling with bed and toolbox. It had been sitting in PA tarped for a while but has some surface on the edges, and where nicked. It has holes in the right quarter where the emblem belongs. I'll have to recheck the left quarter. I plan to get the bed inside and protect it and probably sell it later unless I redo it for my Longhorn.
