how do you get this off?

im trieing to replace my heater core box...i bought this new one from burnsman but forgot to ask him how to get the block off rod off......also...on a 86 pickup i am trieing to get the brake booster and MC off of...the rod goes through then is into a bracket...there is a pin there with a little clip...i took the clip off now cant get the pin out...what gives...the truck is supposed to go to scrap this weekend but i need that off...and also is there any other way to get the arm off the steering box than with a fork? i dont have one and am also trieing to get the steering stuff off the 86...

for the brake problem can you just iunbolt the brackets? thats how i got my pins out

I've pulled the steering arms off with gear pullers before.
