help: go from automatic on floor to automatic on tree

I just picked up a 67 swb truck and it currently have a lokar shifter on the floor. how hard is it to convert it back to 4 speed on the columne? anyone have any links to people that have done it? i have a 700r4 tranny if that makes any difference.

thanks

First of all you need an auto column and the bracket that bolts on to the cab, between the column and tranny. A wrecking yard should have an old pickup with all these parts. I also have a 700r and I haven't found a 4spd indicator yet. Hopefully someone will produce one of these to fit our pickups.

I think it looks cleaner with it on the columne. the lokar is like new, not installed to long ago. and I have a plain idiot columne right now.
