Sweet, I just got my exhaust kit from LMC today also. I wasn't ready to do a custom exhaust behind headers yet because Im not sure when how long I will wait to swap the engine then headers.

Yep...they are Hedmans.....I really should not have had this done, as I have other parts I have to buy yet. But I figured, do it right now, and don't worry about it down the road......Money well spent, I hope !!

Sweet! After you finish the installation, wipe them clean (windex then clear water) before you start the engine. This will prevent unnecessary spotting. What are you using for gaskets, bolts, lock waskers? Big Block intake manifold bolts fit the small block exhaust manifold bolt holes very well. They will grab more thread than the standard length bolts. Do you already have a 2.5" exhaust system inplace? "Performance, hell yeah; Looks, for sure!"

Thanks for that info "tomatocity" I didn't know that about the cleaning and the bolts. I'm not going to install these until I start the new rebuilt 350. I'm using "Ram Horns" and 2" exhuast right now. After the breakin on the motor, I plan on installing the headers and new 2 1/4" exhuast......

They sure turned out nice!. Can't wait to see the completed engine. Jerry's Chevrolet on Joppa Road is having a show on July 23rd I'm planning to attend. You should bring your truck.

Thats nice 70gmcer!..I have those exact same headers and I got them from summit, and I'm now wishing I would have gotten them coated . They aren't rusting bad just kinda discolored..brownish rusty looking.

I bought these from Summit for about $134.00 shipped. I had to pay another $12.00 FedEx Shipping to Jet-Hot. Fet-Hot charged me $279.00 including shipping to me. Was about 1 week turn around to get them back. They also say they do used headers with the same result. Go to their web site and they will give you a quote. It's a little costly, but I think worth it in the long run. Their warranty is great.......

It`s so expensive.I wonder why it has to se so high. You paid for three sets of headers, right?I had cheap ones on a`71 for 12 years. They never were even painted`cause they got thrown on in Flagstaff,AZ when one of my rams horns blew-out.I`m not knocking the product.I`ve had mine done on my GMC.Maryland Performance Coatings did it:bead-blast,flat black, silver, then flat black again. All coats ceramic.I threw in an old set they just blasted and coated flat black to keep it cheap.
