Lousy Chrome Dipstick!

I have (had) one of the those chrome plated dipsticks. I noticed the other day that some of that chrome was chipping off. So I changed the oil & filter and sanded the chrome off the stick. The amount of chrome that chipped off was very little just a bit off the edges. Any worries you think?

Thanks.

iof you want to be anal, do another oil and filter in a day or two...but in all reality, everything will probably be fine.

I don't think I'd worry about it. Those cheap chrome plated dip sticks (Transdapt & others) are well... cheap chrome plated dip sticks (lol). I pulled mine and went with a Lokar.

Seems like Chrome aint what it should be. Looks nice but I always have problems with stuff leaking with the forementioned finish.
