Need led taillight help..
Need some help with my new led taillights that I bought they everything works great untill I pull on the headlight switch then the turnsignals don't work still have breaklights but no turn signal's with the headlight switch off everything works including the signals.. I put in a brand new e-flasher to replace the old e-flasher could it be my dimmer switch causing this problem??? I also tried a set of regular off the shelf 1157 led taillights from jam=straight and have the same problem??? Any help would be great.. Thanks in advance ..

The dimmer switch only controls the headlights between low and high beam. Sometimes the contacts get bad and you have no headlights at all when you try switching them. Sounds like a wiring prob to me. Good luck and happy trucking on the west coast.

if you are using the led twist in bulbs they can have polarity issues! Does it work right with regular bulbs!

Make sure you have the EL-12 flasher and double check the sockets are twisted in all the way!

Don't know exactly what your running but I did have a similar problem when I did the flushmounts in my 91. Turned out the problem was a dirty electrical plug and also a loose/dirty ground wire for the rear harness. Give it a shot????

I remember someone saying that the LEDs are highly sensitive to the voltage. If your voltage is too low, then they don't work. I wonder if your headlights are pulling the voltage down just enough to cause problems. Just a thought.

I normally don't get into trouble shooting parts bought from someone else, but here is a little test: Try them in another vehicle to see if it is the LEDs or your truck!
If you don't install them correctly, you can easily damage them. I test all of mine before I sell them and provide simple written instructions to help prevent damage. Good luck |

my .02$ . I had done the same thing with led's. I found that they needed to be grounded to body. Didnt use fancey led flasher. Just use a bosch 44530 or 44520 heavy duty flasher. 2 or 3 prong. Cant remember which is which.
