5 Stud Front Brake Drum Swap 67-70
Has anyone ever had any success putting 5 stud brake drums on the front of a 67-70 truck as a bolt on from something else? I've looked for anything that uses the 11"x2" shoes and the same bearings, but no luck so far. Maybe something else with a complete backing plate, brake assembly, hub and drum will fit. The reason why I'm asking is I have found a complete set of 5 hole Rally Wheels cheap and I've already replaced the steel hard lines, shoes, hoses, cylinders, etc. I don't really want to put in a complete disc setup from a 71-72 unless I absolutely have to and would like to keep what I have changed already if possible. Axles, or a complete rear end assembly is not a problem to find to swap over the back end.

Have you looked at 73-80s? Thhe entire crossmember will bolt right up. I think you have to drill one hole for each side that doesn't quite match, but everything else is a GO!

I was hoping to find something that would work from the spindles outward so I wouldn't have to undo most of what I've already done. I have not checked the overall width of that type of crossmember, but now I will.

I'm not sure but I think you can have the front drums/hubs re drilled to five lug.
Anyone know for sure??? .
