2wd is made for the angled ramshorn and the 4wd is made for the straight.

Here is what the GM book shows
68 CK-10,20 w/at 69 CG-10,20 w/at 69 K-10 Blazer w/at 70 CKG-10 (8 cyl.) 70 CK-20 (8 cyl.) 70 C-30 (8 cyl.) 71 CK-10,20,30 (396) 3982954 cover, carb air heat stove 71-72 Ser. 20,30 (D.D.)(8 cyl.) 3976258 cover, carb air heat stove 72 Ser. 10 thru 30, Blazer (307, 350) (exc. NB2, D.D.) 3993363 cover, air heat stove This does not show any difference from 2wd and 4x4. I will head to the shop today for a little research. The D.D. means double-duti, Forward control chassis and the NB2 is N.O.X. emission control (Cali. only) I have spoken with restorers and been told that there was a difference between big block and small, 2wd and 4wd and emmision and non. Let me look a little closer today and see what I find.

Well after some digging around, I can find no differences. Compared the one I just got with my 4x4 and it appears to be the same. Also the GM book shows no difference. It does however show some alternate sources. Looks like vans are good for several things. Big block are different and so is the Calif. model.
Guess I am corrected. Hope this helps someone in their search.

Sorry for the delay Don. I was relying on hearsay and needed to do some checking myself. Guess i will be keeping the one I have. Hope you find one.
I would think the guys in the better climates could find some of these on vans. I always see someone looking for them. Good luck.
