All your trucks just got slightly more valuable...Totalled mine last night(with pics)
Lost the back end around a slick corner and couldnt recover. Slid sideways/backwards off the road and then the tires bit into the shoulder and snap rolled me. The road is about 7ft above the bottom of the ditch and I landed roof first on the edge of the shorter side of the ditch. Im ok, neck hurts but should heal soon enough. Other than that Im just a bit banged up and sore. Glad it was just my daily driver and not my baby.
Heres some pics http://www3.telus.net/public/corym/crash/

I lost it at about 45mph and basically landed on the roof at that speed. Pretty abrupt stop. The truck is totalled. There isnt a salvagable part thats worth taking. Brand new engine but I am not going to re-buy the truck from the insure co. for that. Not worth the hassle. No fuel spillage, the filler landed on the high side but I was certainly thinking about that as I was in the truck trying get out. Had to kick the windshield out to exit.

Glad to hear you're alright. Makes me love these trucks even more. You know that if you did that in a newer truck, you wouldn't have walked away. Todd p.s. I was being serious about the door handle.

actually, i'd cry if that happened to me. wait it did. then check your insurance policy. make sure that you have to "buy" it back.
You have to ask yourself, "when did I ever sign the title over to the insurance company?" also, I bought mine back for 400 bucks, if yours has a brand new motor in it then, hey, 400 to 600 bucks for a brand new engine, i'd buy it back. sswj

Hell I would buy it back and part in out, I am sure you could sell some of the stuff to some of us suckers here on the board. I know I would be interested in the muffler bearings LOL

Are you going to rebuild? Hope so! Ps - I like the NASCAR inference "lost the back end".

Glad to here you should be fine. Take care of that neck though. I was in flip over going about 45 mph in a 71 C20 when I was 15 (and I was the oldest of the 3 of us in it but I wasn't driving). Truck was sliding on a sidebank like you went over and then caught and did an end-o. Scared us real bad. One of the guys smelled the gas and freaked us all. We finally realized we could roll down a window and get out. It drove that button on the top of my baseball cap into the top of my head and it was sore for a while. Story was never told truthfully to friends parents either.
Take care. And I agee if you had space the buyback should be cheap enough to make a few $$ or get some pieces for another if your inclinded to.

My mother in law asked about buying her Buick back after State Farm totaled it, the agent just gave her back the car. Brian

Have an appt with the insurance co on monday. I will see what happens then. Only way I would buy it back is if someone were to buy the whole truck off me.
