Question Who is going to Hot August Nights?

I will be at HAN Thursday early (swap meet) through Sunday early (gettin out of town). Looks like I will not be driving my C/10 though I am looking to meet as many of the board members as possible. Where are the gathering places going to be? We are staying at Plum & So. Virginia. Hope to see you there. Tim

Is There A Long Distance Award?

I will be heading out August 1st from PA with the whole gang in the '02 Saturn Black Tag Wagon with factory DVD theater system to keep the 2 monster sons from engaging in a bicker-fest. Wish it was the '68 Burb, but we are a WAYS from that plan. (maybe 2010 AD) I will be meeting up with Rick (midyearvet) if things go as planned. I would LOVE to catch up with a few of you guys and gals for B-S, B-B-Q, and maybe even B-E-E-R. Please keep me updated with any info if you would be so kind. We are fulfilling a life-long dream to drive to the Pacific and swim, then turn around and drive back to the Atlantic and swim. (in 3 weeks) So I hope to meet some of you folks all along the way. Take care, Mike "Hot Rod" Todd

don't believe him Mike. The chances of becoming shark bait in Nor*Cal is about the same as hitting the CA Lottery. Feeling lucky

Where are you going to go to the coast at? We have about 900 miles of it. Some is cold and some is beaches. If you are at a beach in So*Cal and wait a few minutes you will see a 67-72 Chevy Truck. Thought I would throw that in for board sakes.

Itinerary (So Far)

Out I-70 to Kansas to visit my good friend Gary (Ironhorse) and the Chiefs childhood home (Chanute AFB) Then on to Salt Lake to meet up with my Dad (time share). On to Reno to meet up with Rick for HAN, then down to Napa Valley to meet up with Rick again at his home to see his Vette "museum" (hopefully), and my cousin Rich at Travis AFB. Down to Disneyland and Knotts, then up to Vegas to meet up with Dad again (another time share) Over to I-40 to the Petrified Forest, then all the way to the coast to Dads home in Williamsburg, then back to Pittsburgh. I will be keeping a 67-72 truck journal on the way to document every one I see. Should be COOL. Take care, Mike

Killer trip. Friends, family and fun! stop at one of our So*Cal beaches to enjoy cool waters, warm sand and hot bodies. http://www.parks.ca.gov should give you some good information. Some of our parks and beaches have SBC Freedomlink wi-fi. If you are a SBC subscriber you can add Freedomlink for $1.99 a month. Yes I am a CA State Park employee and the wi-fi project is what I have been doing since Febraury. You will enjoy Disneyland the happiest city in America. Knotts Berry Farm is cool though much smaller. Tell me about the Corvette museum. Is it off of I-80 near Fairfield? I want to see it. When you are in Las Vegas you can go to outside the MGM Grand and be on a web cam http://www.earthcam.com/usa/nevada/lasvegas/ Arrange for your friends and family to go online and you can wave hello. If you have a wireless ready notebook check the internet for wi-fi businesses. Take a break, read your local newspaper, pay your bills, and catchup with 67-72 Chevy Truck Message Board.

We might head up for the week end. Grama has a cabin in Home Wood. We would need to bring the cooper S to make up time around the lake.

This will sound like a stupid question but what week end is it?

No britney will not be there, I know I know I'm going to get sht about it. It wouldn't take me much to get her drivable but I'd still have to take her back apart to finish the sheetmetal. It wouldn't be worth the time to get her drivable cause of the safety issues.

You all are still invited to come over sat Aug 6th 3pm til the cruz for some beer and bbq 'n. Lots of parking at the empty school parking lot accross the street. I'll make one last thread at the end of the month for a final head count.
