Crucial Part

I believe that it has been posted many times on here that it WILL work. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING, is you MUST use a reverse rotation water pump because the serp set-up spins the other way ON THE PUMP. Get one for the year truck you took the serp system from. Good luck to you, Mike

Yes they will work according to the owners of trucks I've spoken w/@ several shows. But, like hotrodmtodd stated, you'll need a reverse rotation long waterpump.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

I have a new setup on mine. There is NO clearence for a clutch type fan on this setup. You will have about 2 3/4" between the water pump pulley and the Rad. This forced me to go 16" flexilite fan and 12" electric in front of air condenser. You can't go any larger of a flex fan because it will interfear with the air-conditioner pulley. I used a 1" spacer off the water pump so it would not hit anything. If I went anymore on the spacer I would not have enough room to fit a wrench in to bolt the darn thing on. If you don't have air you could go with big electric fan infront pushing .
