Here's one I thought about buying from JCWhitney, not bad for about $150:

That's the one I got on it now, from J.C. Whitney. Pipes are good, but the glass pack is trash.......

Is the one from LMC a good bolt on kit?

I know LMC and I'm pretty sure JCW sells HeartThrob Exhaust kits from Minnesota:
http://www.heartthrobexhaustinc.com/

I called HT Exhaust. They quoted me $136 plus shipping for one of their dual exhaust kits without mufflers for my '71 burb (pickup should be same part#). If I go with duals, I'm looking to save a few bucks because I'll be running SpinTech mufflers and LMC only offers the duals with mufflers. If you go direct to HeartThrob, be sure the duals include all the mounting hardware that LMC includes (from HeartThrob).

I believe LMC has HeartThrob drop ship their kits, but I'm not sure.

70GMC, how does it sound? Did the kit come with long or short mufflers? I have a stock y pipe with the muffler(28" Cherrybomb) right under the cab, with another section of pipe that exit's right before the driver's side trailing arm with a turn-down. It's loud, but I like it louder.

I did have to slightly bend the passenger side head pipe to clear the transfer case on my 4x4, other than that no problems

The one I've got on mine sounds like an old "Moon Runner" car from down south. hehehe.......The packs are about the same size as yours (28"). It's just has that chopping baffle sound, and being right near the door, is too loud for me. It didn't take long for the glass to blow out of the packs either. You might like it, I don't. I'm wanting to go out the rear.....I paid $119.00 + shipping for it about 1 year ago.

Thanks 4X4....Hearthrob sounds like what I'm looking for. Especially, if I can cut out the middle man on the sale. Going to check them out........

I get what you're saying on the loudness, everybody has their opinion. I wouldn't put them out in front of the tires though, I'd go get two pipes made to make 'em exit under the bed right before the rear-end or something.
