drum to disc conversion

a customer of ours wants to go with disc brakes. he now has a 70 chev 3/4t 2wd with drum brakes. i have not done this before and would like to know what all is needed. i was told that the pedal assy would need to be changed out. i did not know the manual and power brake pedal assy's were different. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks....mark

There are lots of info on the FAQ. As far as I know (which is not much by the way) you don't have to change the pedal assembly. If you change the brake booster/MC you may need to do some modification. Please somebody else correct me if I am wrong. Hope this helps.

Keep the pedal assembly and booster. Change m/c and proportioning valve (71 or 72 to stay with stock look) and brakes. 71 and up crossmember etc. Try the faq board for lots of info.
