Rollover Vent Valves
OK, been shopping around for feedback on venting Blazer gas tanks that don't use fuel fillers from other rigs with vent hose attached and seen other board members joining me in scratching their heads! For those of you on the board who have done conversions from saddle to blazer (or fuel cell), can you please chime in on what you have done for venting your tanks??? In the FAQs I saw a mention of "vent valves". I did some googling and came up with rollover vent valves that allow air to replace tank fuel levels dropping while at the same time when fueling to allow air out..................but more importantly prevent fuel from leaking out of a tank when in a rollover condition. (read fire here)
I have been hitting threads on several occasions and feel this is a good question for safety reasons but am getting little or nothing in response. If you folks have crossed this bridge please let all of us know. IF I am raising a potential issue all of us need to address then lets get some things going on for all of our benefit. Thanks JC |

You can run the line of the vent valve to either the fill line on the tank (using a nipple on the line with a vented cap) or to engine (I say engine but mean can be done on FI or carb'ed) vacuum via any charcoal canister you find in the salvage yard.
