Need help
I have gotten a complete truck for parts , just not sure what i got , the cab is a 67 and the front cap is 69 or 70, it has disk brakes on the front but the brake master has no booster. Is that possible? i am wanting to use these spindles and stuff for the front so i can have disk brakes on my 68 . would a brake booster work with this? Or maybe the people never finshed the truck? any ideas? any thoughts would help!!!
Thanks, eric |

The truck that i had got for parts had all this on it without brake booster, just master is all and disk brakes, i guess what i mean is what year did they start putting disks and did they use brake booster when they started, next question is could i put all this on my 68 and use a brake booster with those callipers?

71 was the first year for disc brakes. Not all of the trucks with disc brakes had power brakes that was an option.I have a 71 here with no booster and it was built that way

This is an easy, straight-forward swap. I bought complete frontend, spindles, rotors, calipers, upper and lower control arms, center link, pitman arm and rear end at Super Chevy Weekend, for $125.00. Only drawback to installing on my '68 was the 6 bolt lug pattern. (Two spares) I bought some stronger-than-stock 5 bolt axles from Summit for around $200.00. This is also an easy swap. Another benefit of this swap is a greater selection of wheels. Good luck and keep on truckin'..................Jerry
