33's without a liftkit!

For months I have been wanting to put some BFG 33x12.50x15 on my truck. I just didnt know if I needed a lift kit. I called several tire dealers and they all discouraged trying to put 33's on my pickup without a lift. I dont currently have a garage and didnt want to invest 2 grand into tires, wheels and a lift so I gave up on the idea. Well as it so happens I work in a building with like 10,000 other people and they have several places that everyone hangs up pictures of things they are selling. Last week I noticed a set of 5 wheels/tires that were exactly the size and bolt pattern for my truck and were being sold for $ 250.00 bucks. Now granted the wheels and rubber are both in poor shape but I went ahead and bought them since I wanted to see how they fit/handled. I just wanted to post a couple of pics so that anyone else thinking about doing this would have an idea what it looks like.

I have 33/12.50/16.5s on my 76 with no lift. My roomate had 33s on his f250 with no lift as well. I'm going with a 4" and 35s soon though.

Yep, I had 33x12.5's on 15x8" wheels with no lift, except I did have HD springs in the front from a 1-ton truck which raised the front a couple inches. Its on 4" lift now though.

they fit all right but i wouldn't do much wheelin without lifting it. turn the wheels all the way one direction and get out and look. you'll have less than an inch of clearance. turn the wheel the other way and the small clearance moves to the other side. i just put a 4" lift on mine to clear the 33's and there's still not tons of room when turning.

70blazerpickup- i didn't get the steering arm and it works fine.
