1970 K20 4x4 project truck in Indiana.....
I hate to do this but it's time the 70 and I part. I am buying a different home and with that I won't most likely have the time and money to finish this thing.
This truck is 1970 K20 that I tore apart 5 years ago and have been slowly making some progress on it. In the past 5 years I have accumulated a mess of new parts and parts from other trucks. This thing won't take too much to finish really. For someone who can paint and do a little body work it won't be much of a job. Here is a list of all the NEW parts I have for this thing. They total up to right at $9,500.00. All these parts are New: Doors Fenders Core Support Floor pans Rockers Cab corners Front bumper (chrome with bolts) 23 gallon fuel relocation kit Set of 5.13 gears for front 10 bolt and rear 14 bolt Dual shock setup Dual steering stabilizer Stainless front brake lines Raised steering arm w/riser block Drop drag link Ball joints Wheel bearings, races, and seals 12" custom all spring lift from National Spring 3" body lift Energy suspension body bushings 44 x 19.5 - 16.5 Super Swamper Boggers 16.5 x 14 Weld Scorpios w/center caps and nuts Warn premium lockouts Door seals and gaskets Rear disc brake conversion brackets Chrome differential covers for front and rear Front brake calipers w/pads Front drag link Full coverage nylon carpet, carpeted door bottoms, and kick panels Front outer axle shaft And misc. chrome parts........ That's all of the new stuff...... I also have a nice set of rust free bed sides other than the ones in the pics below, PS fender, fuel tank, and some other misc. parts. Everything is there to put the truck back together but the inner and outer grille a tailgate, and a rear bumper. The frame has been bead blasted and is sealed. The cab also has been stripped inside and out and is sealed but still needs the new metal weld in. I have a sm465/205 that came out of it and it is in great working order. The motor is a 400 SB and has just been hot tanked and bored .030 over. It comes with a new set of Crane roller rockers, new set of Dart heads, a new 292 Comp Cam w/install kit, and crank. I am not interested in parting this thing out in any way other than if someone would be interested without the motor. Then I would be willing to adjust the price for the difference. I am asking $12,500.00 for this entire project package. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask and I will get back with you. If anyone would like more pics feel free to ask. I am located in Southeastern Indiana about 40 miles West of Cincinati Ohio for anyone who would like to see it you are more than welcome to stop and take a look. Here are a few pics of the truck when it was somewhat together. This will be the way the truck will sit when done. As you can tell in pic #3 it will be a big one. I am right at 6' tall. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...chevy/70-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...chevy/70-2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...chevy/70-3.jpg

I just wish I could keep it and get the new place, but I can't have everything. It would be a one of a kind for this area anyway. I hope when it sells, someone far from here buys it. I would hate to see it later all finished. Talk about depressing.......

I don't think you should be depressed, but proud that you had a big part in it. Maybe things will work out that you can keep it. Its sometimes hard to find someone that can pay the bucks for a project like that.

Mudder, I really think it would look good all finished up sitting in your gagrage next to your truck. You could just buy it and add it to your collection. LOL. I hear ya about finding someone to buy it. Yeah it's a lot of money, but for the price I've got on it someone would get the truck basicly for free and have one heck of a start to a sweet truck if they were planning to build one. I'd say I'd still be depressed seeing it sold and being hauled down the road. Yeah It would feel good knowing I had a hand in on the truck, until the day I seen it finished and someone else cruising in it.
