Clean and unmolested '68...bargain!

Here is what appears to be a really nice truck in NY-MA-CT area. Not mine... but I wish I was close enough to bid on this one! Looks like a short wheelbase truck too.

the dash and cluster has been painted, and the wrong green at that. the cluster has a silver ring instead of chrome.

The dash and clust has been repainted???? Looks correct for a 68 to me. I have yet to see an original dash face fo a 67 or 68 that was chrome on the edge. And the dash is the same color as the wheel and column, to me that says it is correct color.

That is a very nice unmolested plain jane truck!!!!!

it's a different green from the outside, one or the other's been repainted, more than likely the outside, and i havent seen a painted silver as stock dash before.

matt, My '67 CST has the painted silver dash cluster and it is my favorite. It was coupled with a flat black (crinckle finish) and silver glove box door that is also my favorite. I don't know about '68 but that was stock in my '67.

The only green color in '68 was a light green. I think the outside has been painted that "picnic table" green.

I still want it...my 454 is still looking for a home!

that is the way the clusters were in 68. my question is about the silver engine & the air cleaner. my truck in its previous life had a 250 with a different air cleaner (kind of flat across the top instead of crowned) & a orange engine.

Never saw a silver engine stock---the pass side rocker looks like it may have been replaced too. The first place to show rust damage is usually the back of the bed floor where it covers the rear floor support---no visable shot of that area or the tailgate. I think the starting price is where the final price should be given that it is really NOT original. PO had some work done on this I guarantee.
