My bell crank broke.
30 miles from home, but just pulling away from the last stoplight I would have to stop for before home. I pushed in the clutch for third gear and something snapped and the clutch pedal went to the floor and I just kept on going. Someone pulled out in front of me and I had to downshift into 2nd with no clutch and then back into 3rd, but I never had to stop all the way home.
So now I need a new bellcrank. Is there any difference in them between the I6 and the SBC? I think I have one around here somewhere, but it came out of a V8 truck.

Looks like differing opinions I didn't know what broke when it broke, I didn't think it was a good idea at the time to stop and see, so no, I don't have the piece that broke off I may just have to plan a trip to the junk yard to find one off a 6. No big deal, I just can't do it tomorrow.

The V8 Z-bar is 7" across and the L6 Z-bar is 5-13/16th inches.

PS - where is the little guard that is supposed to prevent outside elements from getting into your bellhousing?
