Tire/fender clearance ???

how much tire too fender clearance is good?
I have about 1.5" right now

leafspring rear
dont plan on bagging it (yet)

I hope you dont plan on going over 5 mph, cause if you do you are going to bang the ish out of the back. Only reasons baggers get away with tucking wheels is because they do not drive that low unless they arnt going more then 5 mph. All I can say is watch for speed bumps.

My buddy is runing about that close or close has wore all the lettering of this tires. i cant say thats it is safe i dont think so but he has been running them for a year now. With his job he dont drive it much but i would say he has 10,000 on it like that.

the reason why i ask if ur turning, is because of the body roll when you go around a corner, its gonna rub unless u have a real stiff suspension.
