Power Steering on 250?
I have a 250 in my '72 half-ton. It has aftermarket a/c and manual steering. I have almost all the parts to swap in power steering, but I don't know what pulleys I need or how to run the belts. I have a three-groove drive pulley already. Any L6 experts out there? Thanks.

You should be able to run one belt around the crank, water pump, and alternator. and another around the crank and P/S. That's the way they were stock, but With the A/C I don't know how things will work. good luck.

I bought a 250 p/s setup from a board member last summer. He swore it was from a 250, but it certainly didn't fit my motor without a lot of cutting and welding of the brackets. I could get you a pic, but I'm not sure it would do much good. I think it's close to the original setup.

I'm pretty sure I have the right brackets. I guess I'll have to use some trial and error to set it all up. It's a daily driver, so trial and error is a lousy way to start a project. I'm trying to get double-groove pulleys for the alternator and water pump. After that, I'll just have to dive in head first.

I am in the process of putting p/s on my 69. with a 250. I got the brackets off a 73 Nova and they bolted right up. the problem I am having is the alt. I have a two grove water and crank pulley. The alt is a one grove and the nut for the pulley is in the way. The belt hits the nut. So got a two grove for the alt (not installed as yet) but looks like the p/s belt will ride in the second grove I hope so.
