I know you broke yous on your trip. Can you not get a regular cable and just cut the wire inside to size. That wire is what broke isn't it?

The cable is wound wire, like a real tight coil spring, and on the ends it is shaped into square-ish fittings.
So, no...not realisticly.

Won't other cruise controls cables work? Of corse I am talking about the older models with the cable going to the Part on the inner fender then another cable going to the transmission. I know these were used up into the 80's I think.

I can get you a new one made if you supply me a pattern (housing and both ends). The last one I had made was around $75.

Can't you still buy these at GM if you tell them what length and what style ends?

Haven't tried the parts stores or dealer yet... Kinda figured with all the trucks getting parted out on here, some one would have this piece.

I'm sure it could be made to work, but it looks nothing like mine. I couldn't see the cables very well either.

Well, I figured the cable went from there to the transmission and also figured it most likely had a 350 trans in it so thought might be the same size or close. You could ask the guy how long the cable is. I know you do not need the other parts but sure he would just send the cables if you just wanted them. Just too bad yours broke. Bummer.
