GM Parts Direct (gmpartsdirect.com)
I am in the middle of a terrible experience with them right now. Their customer service is a joke, their site and catalogs are out of date, there is no way to contact them, they do not require signatures on a package, so if the box is damaged in-transit due to their poor packing or any parts are lost, guess what? YOURE SCREWED.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=177119 That thread ^^ goes into more detail about my experience. I'm not having fun with this, it's setting my project back, I have a damaged part and I can either live with the damage, replace the lost bolts, wait for replacement bolts to come in or wait another 3 weeks to get a replacement part in. Talk about a freaking joke. These guys are lame. I'm spreading the word on them. If you are looking for someone to get cheap(er) GM parts through, go to www.gmotors.com instead - same low prices, you'll pay half as much on handling and you can talk to a human being if you don't want to fill out the easy-to-use parts request form at the website. Their prices might be a little bit higher, but you won't pay the 20% "handling fees" that GM Parts Direct charges, so the part will most likely be cheaper. Next time someone asks if I would ever use these guys...guess what my answer will be?

Re: GM Parts Direct (gmpartsdirect.com)
Shifty I have heard quit a few horror stories about gmpartsdirect.com. I tried to deal with the before, but couldn't get past them requiring a vin# to look the part up. WTF? What if I need a part off a truck that I don't own? I can't get a vin# so I can't order from you? That's total BS. Then the shipping is another issue. Like you mentioned they charge high shipping charges to make up for low price quotes. BS again.....grrrr

Re: GM Parts Direct (gmpartsdirect.com)
Often dealership parts departments use the VIN to ensure they give you the correct part for your application.
Although it is not always required, it does help sometimes

Thank you for reviewing a review on the review board.
However if you haven't noticed, this is not the correct forum to ask for parts. Please feel free to keep reviewing the reviews here on this board. Your friendly Moderator...
