Trans Shifter Removal

Hi all,
I'm doing a "refresh" on my '67 LWB C10. I'm right in the middle of pulling the engine and trans (sm420). I'm trying to figure out how to remove the shifter (floor) from the trans. It looks like it has a rod that needs to be punched out from one side, but before I start banging away I wanted to be sure. Is this what needs to be done?

Thanks
Tom
