Is your Blazer you DD ?

*your DD
Just wondering how many of you use yours to get around every day. Would you be screwed if you went to fire'r up and it didnt turn over in the AM? Sure seems to be alot of driveway jewelry around
More power to you folks !

On the other hand, i know alot of us do some serious driving with ours, be it miles, or in 4x4

(where is the old thread like this?, it cant be the 1st)

It depends on the job. I'm a self employed carpenter. If its a small job requiring just a few hand tools, the Blazer gets fired up and driven. My dog loved it this summer with the top off.

My blazer isn't roadworthy yet, but I drive my truck on a fairly regular basis.

My '72 is my daily. I take my daughter to daycare on the way to work and pick her up on the way home. She loves "daddy's truck!"

Re: Is your Blazer you DD ?

My 72 will be a daily driver when gas goes back to .99 cents a gallon.
I love to drive my Blazer around town and to the beach, but live in fear of traffic jams and try to avoid rush hour. Bouncy truck your 72 looks perfect,
is that stock suspension? what tire and rim size are you running in the photo? I really like the look of your Blazer.

Re: Is your Blazer you DD ?

Blazer Nickname - "THE GARAGE QUEEN"

Nope, but when it's finished, I lack paint and the money to pay
for it it will be a Friday's, Weekend, Car Shows type driver,
I have no intention of this thing being a trailer queen, I bought
it to drive, just kinda hard to drive it alot being it's unfinished

*I'm a dumbarse, it will be trailered to show further than 2 hrs.
due to the 6-10 mpg she gets, those are estimates, no figures

Yep, that's what she is riding on!

Here's some with the soft top on from the beginning of the summer. All the interior shots appear to be on my work computer...

Re: Is your Blazer you DD ?

Mine's not quite done yet (It is close, but still no paint). When it is done I'll drive it to and from work (about 10 miles 1-way) when it is nice out. Due to gas prices I'll be selling my current DD (1991 Silverado) and buy my wife a run-around car since her current car is a 1999 4x4 Suburban. On the nice days I'll drive the blazer, and on the others I'll drive the Suburban or her new gas saver.

Re: Is your Blazer you DD ?

I'm lucky 5.5 mi. to work each way so it only
cost about a gallon a day. Home Depot,
Lowes, Grocery Stores, & Restraunts all
in a 10 mile radius. I put her in the shop
for some front end work and I have to
get a ride to work from one of my employes.
I don't want to leave my wife stranded
with out a car.

Bouncytruck, that is gorgeous. Do you have more pics of the inside? I am not lying here, I would rather drive that Blazer over a Mercedez Benz S500.

Re: Is your Blazer you DD ?

Thanks for the good responses fellows! I'm not doing much these days since i moved to San Luis Obispo..., but when i do go out i take the blazer. Just havent been getting out daily i guess If so it's sometimes with my girl in her jeep. I drove it ever day back in highschool, much more then just there and back too!!! After that i used my blazer for getting to a couple winneries i worked at back up in Norcal. Hopefully i'll get to go hittup the dunes at pismo in not too long!

Re: Is your Blazer you DD ?

I wish mine was still. I would rather drive it than anything else but the gas is too pricey. Plus, I get a little nervous with all the bad drivers some days. It was my daily for about a year and I loved it.

Re: Is your Blazer you DD ?

Mine share dd responsibilities. Daily work commute is about 2.5 miles each way. With that and running errands, picking up materials, etc I put about 2k miles a year on each.
