Re: sheetmetal

Bought my panels from two places........ Manes at Raytown Mo. and LMC at Lenexa Ks. One is like the other. Manes may be some cheaper. All was made in Tiawan.

Re: sheetmetal

I've bought from several places: MotherTruckers (a board vendor), Brothers, The Truck Shop... I would say most of the parts were Tri-Plus and fit well. I think Goodmark sells Tri-Plus also, but don't quote me.

Re: sheetmetal

Tri plus makes it, goodmark marks it up and sells it, from what I've gathered around here.

Re: sheetmetal

Not all of the patch panels that Goodmark sells are triplus. I know the front floor pans; A-pillers, and front cab supports are not triplus, and maybe even the B-pillers. They are Taiwan made and fit as good as the triplus but they aren't the same thickness as the triplus. They were a little thinner. I've gotten several of these panels from GMCPauls and they were all triplus. I would recommend him without hesitation.

Re: sheetmetal

Yep. As stated about, there are only one or two manufacturers of each part out there, everyone else is a reseller

Re: sheetmetal

I got 2 rockers and a rear cab support from St Louis Auto Panel, $45 shipped, thought that was a good deal, I told them I saw the Ebay priced items. They were Tri-plus panels.

Re: sheetmetal

Now you guys have peeked my interest. My 68 K20 was butchered by the previous owner in the floor pan area, both sides. Looks like he used a cutting torch while battling parkinsons, a real mess. I wasn't going to mess with it and just hide this under my new carpet but now I'm thinking of re-doing it. I do own a welder and I'm pretty sure I can do a better job than the last guy. How tough is this, it looks like the floor pans are large enough to cover most of my problem areas. Any input?

Re: sheetmetal

GMC Pauls let me pick up my body panels from the warehouse in NJ . I saved a ton of shipping charges and got to open all the boxes and make sure the parts weren't damaged. Chris
