what to do about my vent windows?
I'm 3/4 through my frame up restoration and was getting ready to clean my vent windows and noticed the vent window rubbers are cracked on both of them.Has anyone bought new vent windows and how is the quality compared to the origionals? My vent windows are in perfect shape and I know they make a rivet and seal kit, but don't know how to put them in. and I've heard they almost always leak and make noise if you put in new seals with the kit.Is it just easier to buy new vent windows and is there anything negative about the new ones? Thank you all, Dave

Re: what to do about my vent windows?
I bought the vent window seal kit from LMC and the rubber filler , the hardest part of the job is to put the rubber filler inside the glass vent channel, the other is just a piece of cake. I do not know if the vent will leak with this new seals but they look good.I can take some pictures...

Re: what to do about my vent windows?
I put on the Precision kit.. looks good but very hard to close. I am hoping with time they will loosen up a bit.

Re: what to do about my vent windows?
Here's how we did it - there may be a more official way but it worked -

Re: what to do about my vent windows?
Then the window will blow out of the track if you try and do them up going down the highway. Mind you the install is some what of a PITA also.
