Where are the Panel trucks? Post pics!

Where are all the Panel trucks? Also, anybody done the 1971/1972 front on a panel? I have a friend that is considering purchasing a 1967 Panel. If he does not, I am.

Let's see 'em!

Did they stop making Panels in 1970?

My understanding is that 1970 was the last year. I have never seen one in person or pics anywhere of a 71 or 72.

Nice. I've never seen that paint scheme on a Panel or Burb. I like it.

Wonder why GM did not make these in later years? Sales?

Re: Where are the Panel trucks? Post pics!

Sales were down since vans were available. Also the custom van craze started.Vans had the side door and so were more accessable for the work trucks and the ablity to produce the van in a passenger model made the "Economies of Scale" a better proposition.Since they already had the tooling It seems like it would not have been a problem to build them but then GM doesn't build a full size rear wheel drive car either.

That panel has some interesting custom touches. I see the rounded truck doors, ford? tail lights, later model rear bumper. What else is there that I'm missing?
