$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Can you say high dollar?? Damn, they are bolting some nice stuff on there. That rear with the disc brakes got me all excited.
Did you notice them bolting up the new Dana 60? Where can you buy the new mounts to weld to the housing to clamp it down?

Man, wouldn't it be nice to build a truck with all new stuff and not have to worry about the price! It's gonna be interesting to see what else they add, and what they use for a motor.

He mentioned something about a big block. He also said "copperhead - hint, hint". Does that mean anything, other than the color? It's going to be pretty sweet. The red/white '71-'72 looked awesome too.

This is the ONLY thing this show is good for: when you're thinking about spending some money on your truck, and you're debating about it but you happen to see it being done to a truck just like yours on this show WITH the items you were thinking about buying it has a way of making your mind up for you.
Everything else is just marketing and advertisement.

one word....awesome
I've watched trucks before...well, because it's about trucks and they did a v8 swap in an s10 a long time ago. I've never been so excited until now. I taped everything and even sat through all the commercials and never changed the channels. If ever I get demotivated, I'll just pop in my tape and get going. Man...money is no object in this one. I wonder if ECE is giving them at cost or free for that matter for using their products. The segment on body work is great also with professor hammer. jay

These shows do show more shiny parts than technical information. I just like to watch and see how things are done. I was pretty dissapointed today, when they didn't talk about the balljoint issue. Its amazing how they do so much in just a half hour show.
Anyone notice the 2 holes in the crossmember behind the rear end? I'm thinking that its for exhaust. It suprises me that they aren't going to put a blazer tank in it. I kind of thought about emailing trucks and mentioning this website. The chances of it actually getting mentioned would be zero though. I don't know what happend to that other guy, maybe Stacy ran over him in one of those monster trucks he's always muddin in.

low69cst...
... check this link out
http://www.earlyclassic.com/68rodsto...ar2001pg3.html use the arrow at the bottom of the page to navigate to the last page fo that article for ece's solution for the problem. from what i have read in the past. the parts used on the vehicles are at cost or less to the show as advertisment write off. most of the vehicles end up getting sold for a pretty good price.

Trucks! show
They aren't going to do anything to that truck that I couldn't do with an extra $85,000 !!! Sure don't relate to the common man.

LOW69CST
How can you tell by the firewall that it's not a 67 (other than the rare big window option if it did happen to be)
I really don't feel like untarping the '67 cab to compare it to the '69.

The big block he keeps talking about better be a 502. With a bottomless wallet like that, why not?
I think I'd rename the project from sissy "copperhead" to "I've got more money than truck know-how":p

See how the wiring harness hole is pressed against the enbossment for the brake booster, and how there is a raised embossment for the foot emergency brake.

Heres a 68 cab i was going to use for my 69 until I discovered all this firewall confusion. See how the wiring harness is more toward the door and there is no emergency brake embossment, 67 and 68 used the hand brake deal.

If the motor pictured the website sitting on the stand is the one they plan on installing it isn't a 502 because it has a fuel pump block off plate & 502's don't have a fuel pump boss cast into the block. I watched the show & it looks like they will use the same gas tank that ECE used on their last truck build-up. The tank is notched for exhaust clearance which would also explain the cut-outs in the crossmember as well. The rotors are Aerospace Components products I believe & can be seen in most HotRod, CarCraft, Classic Trucks mags.
