What year bed / what to do ?

This is a couple of pictures on the bed on my old 68 truck . I know its older style but is it 60-65 or older 55-59 ?
1 ) would fenders off of 67-72 bolt to it , without alot of mods ( I seen where fenders was bolted to later style with mods ) ?
2 ) newer style bed , say like a 94 fiberglass step ?
3 ) run it like it is , dont match up at all ?
4 ) wait to see if i could get a short step later on ?

Re: What year bed / what to do ?

thats from a 55-66 most likely a 63-66 as the earlyier bed were identical BUT the mounting pads are different and would make the box sit funny.

you can locate 67-72 fenders and drill new holes and put on the correct steps.

My choice, would be to locate a decent 67-72 short step bed or short fleet.

the 88-98 step side isnt a bad choice either but not my cup of tea.good luck!
