Dynocrap Headers
Well less than 1 year for a set of Dynomax Headers and now i have a crack in the primary tube on #2 cylinder. I am asking for some suggestions on replacements. I think it's between Hedman Ceramic Coated or Stainless, or Edelbrock right now. Thoughts and comments appreciated, especially actual experience with what you suggest. Merry Christmas

Re: Dynocrap Headers
I'd get Coated Hooker Comp's.

Re: Dynocrap Headers
i had a set of dynomax's ceramic coated headers a year or two ago....
they seemed ok to me... i've also had several sets (through the years) of the cheapo flowtech's for like $70 or so...they worked ok, but started rusting practically as soon as the motor was started up ![]()

Re: Dynocrap Headers
walker dynomax was recently bought out by another company. there quality has went way down him in the last couple years. even stock walker exhaust which used to be really good stuff sucks anymore. i have a set of dynomax coated headers. everything is fine except the ceramic is almost all gone

Re: Dynocrap Headers
I would get Hookers or Sandersons. I have had Hooker headers before, GREAT headers. I have a pair of Sandersons now, really impressed thus far (fit, finish, flange tickness...but haven't fired them yet).

Re: Dynocrap Headers
i would go stainless personally. i have some shorties on my truck and they are wearing nicely. the only problem i ran into with them was that the flanges where you bolt up the pipes were 4 bolt instead of the traditional triangular design that has three bolts. i fabricated some plates that have 4 holes drilled in them and gave them to my muffler guy so that he could weld them onto the pipes beforehand. No problems so far.

Re: Dynocrap Headers
Hedman Ceramic coated all the way. I have never had a problem on three trucks with ceramic coated from hedman.

Re: Dynocrap Headers
Well for now i've sealed the small crack in the primary tube with some really good stuff called thermosteel, it was easy to use and so far so good. at least until i can afford a $400 set of headers
