Carpet on the floor..Thanks Putter

Putter, Gman69, and Krue come over and gave me a visit today. After alot of and a little horse trading I was able to put some carpet in. Thanks Putter, the carpet cleaned right up with a little Spray-n-Wash. Its getting closer to being on the road every day.....Oh Krue even made a pass through the Dodge dealer lot. I think he would have stayed there if the rest of us weren't hungry for a good ole Hardees burger

Pay no mind to the nasty rusted tread plates, they're only temporary.

Y'all, Mike's truck is a piece of work!

Didn't waste any time didja Mike? Truck is definitely nicer in person. While you were improving yours I almost ripped the bumper off of mine.

BTW Bill you should see Mike's "Big White Box"

Krue, How big a white box did he have? Was it a twin 4'x4' to the one you have?

Wish I could have been there! I spent the day watching my wife spend a few gift cards that she got for Christmas. Hopefully tomorrow I will get you guys some updates of how my interior is coming along. Rumor has it that the carpet came in last week. The inside of the cab has been covered and the headliner insert has been wrapped.

Yank! Keep up the nice work. I love it. Any chance it will be ready and driving for the February first Saturday cruise-in at Byram? Guys, I will miss the one this coming weekend as I will be in Las Vegas for work. No really, we have a trade show there this weekend!

2 questions:

1) what's the slit in the floor just behind the center ridge just behind the tranny hump?

2) where is the box that normally sits under the dash just behind the heater controls? what the heck is that thing for anyways and are you gonna put it back in or are you going w/aftermarket AC and heat?

Wow that looks great! With a picture like that I almost want to paint my interior orange instead of grey. What color orange is your truck?

WOW....had I known that it was going to clean up that nice, I would have made YOU pay for lunch!!!! (j/k)
You guys should see the bed on this thing....no rust anywhere on a steel-floored widebed. Awesome.
Had a great time, too. I will try and get some photos added either here or somewhere of our 'visit'.

Oh, here we go....I found my photos....

Picture one is mainly for Bill. The directions Yank gave included a reference to a "BIG WHITE MAILBOX". If you look in the left of the photo, you can see the rear edge of Yank's Big White Box.....

And it didn't get any better from there....

Here are two shots of GMan & Yank talking over the details of Yank's TRICK FILLER location....

Look closely at this one.....

Notice there is not line where the rocker meets the cab below the vin plate....smooth as a baby's back-side.
It's the small details that make this truck awesome.

That's what I like about these trucks. If you do not look carefully and know how they are originally, you will miss all the fine attentions to detail.

Looks good from where I am sitting!

PS: Glad to see we are getting some life out of the "big white box" comment!

To clear this one up for those that are in the dark...
We had lunch at Hardees (and yes, it went thru me like pure acid...or assid)
Anyway, we placed our order...and got those little numbers to sit on the table. Mine was "78", GMan was "66" or something, etc....
I told the guys that if Krue got 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, or 72, I was going to nab it to take home....
Well...as luck would have it, KRUE GOT 69.
Then, someone (cough...putter...cough...) dropped a napkin over it....
But Krue got his food anyway, since he had a kid's meal on his tray...

So when it was time to go, we cleaned the table off....and the number fell into my back pocket...

No big deal, right??? Am I a CLEPTO???? Oh no.....
