Question Question for everyone

Would I make more money selling my truck out right or parting it out? The truck is a complete fleetside small window 67 SB w/new tranny what do you think if I will make more money parting it out I will become a vendor Im just looking for feedback here. I will set some picks up but im having trouble doing so any help would be nice.
Thanks in advance
Steve

Re: Question for everyone

You don't need to become a vendor to part it out, just need to subscribe for the $25 a year.

Re: Question for everyone

BTW - you probably will make more money parting it, it all depends on how much money your time is worth.

Re: Question for everyone

You'd likely make more money parting it out if you're willing to take it all the way down. My recent experience is that I can get more for 2 fenders, 2 wells, hood and core support than for a "complete front clip". Go figure :/

It is, however a complete pain in the...<deleted>

Re: Question for everyone

You should post some pictures and see what everyone thinks it is worth and go from there. I vote not to part, because it is complete.

Re: Question for everyone

Seems to me it's easier to sell a complete truck. Plus you usually don't have to worry about shipping.

Re: Question for everyone

You could end up with alot of parts.Look at it like wholesaling, one sale/money in hand.If the truck is in decent shape,it`s worth deceny money. If it`s rough, what are the parts worth?Mechanical parts are common as dirt and condition questionable.Everyone(most)want o/d these days. You`ll have time in parting, advertising, responding, getting shipping costs, packing, shipping, waiting for money/cashing,oh yeah, and all the wouldjatakes,so...Let`s see it.What kind of help with picturesdo you need?

9 wants o/d these days

Re: Question for everyone

I've parted 2 trucks and ended up giveing the Cab and frame away. Both were LWB trucks. I did make good money on the parts I sold though. It depends on how much you have invested in the truck. I only paid $300 for each of the two that I parted.

Re: Question for everyone

Look at it this way... If you part it out many other Chevy owners will be able to find the parts they need to complete their projects.... BUT you'll be taking one more of these classic, not so common trucks off the road.... More money in the long run, but it'll be more work and my above comment. Just my $.02.

Re: Question for everyone

Click the go advanced link under the quick reply box and then you'll see a link for managing attachments click that it will bring up the attachment window and then you can browse for the pictures on your computer. If they are to big you can open them with paint and under your image setting you can skew them down a bit. When you you save the new smaller versions click save as and put them on your desk top. When you use the attachment window and use the browse feature look for them on your desk top.

If this doesn't help you can email them to one of the members on here and they can do it for you.

Hope this helps,
Steven
